Avery Research Center for African American History & Culture 

Center for Disability Services/SNAP provides assistance and guidance to students with a documented disability to ensure equal access to all programs and services of the College. 

Center for Student Learning provides comprehensive academic support programs for College of Charleston students as they strive for excellence in learning, while promoting student leadership and development through peer education experiences.

Gender and Sexuality Equity Center advocates for a culture of resistance against inequality, judgment, prejudice and bias in all its forms. 

Multicultural Student Programs and Services provides a safe haven for students to develop connections with other students. We exist to help students be successful, provide advocacy, support services, and culturally based programs that educate about diversity and multiculturalism and empower them to be agents of social change in an increasingly diverse and global community. 

  • Mentoring Matters become a mentor to an incoming SPECTRA student. 
  • Safe Zone – where LGBTQ+ students can feel supported, affirmed and valued. 
  • SPECTRA Summer transition program for incoming freshmen who are African American, Latinx/Hispanic, Asian and Native American (AALANA). 

The Office of Equal Opportunity Programs the office designated to receive formal complaints of discrimination or harassment, including under Title IX. Established at the College of Charleston to ensure equal opportunity for all members of our college community.

The Sylvia Vlosky Yaschik Jewish Studies Center is the center of Jewish activity at the College.

Varsity Athletics is comprised of more than 300 student-athletes that make up the College’s 19 varsity sports teams. Each season is a promise of great things: the thrill of competition, the transformation of pain and hard work into success and glory. The College of Charleston is an NCAA Division I university in the Colonial Athletic Association.
